Using This Tool: Guide & Notes Show guide
Tap Code represents each letter as two tap counts: one for the row and one for the column.
How to use it
- Choose Encode to convert text to taps, or Decode to convert tap groups back to text.
- Paste the message or tap sequence into the input box.
- Check the square to confirm the row and column for each letter.
- Use clear separators between tap groups when decoding.
Options and settings
- Tap symbols control how each tap is written in the output.
- Group separators make rows, columns, letters, and words distinguishable.
- Square settings decide how letters fit into the 5x5 grid.
- Formatting choices affect readability more than the underlying mapping.
Notes
- Traditional Tap Code often combines C and K.
- Decoding fails quickly if row and column groups are not separated clearly.
