Using This Tool: Guide & Notes Show guide

Atbash mirrors the alphabet so A becomes Z, B becomes Y, and the same rule decrypts the message again.

How to use it

  • Paste text into the input box.
  • Read the mirrored alphabet output.
  • Apply Atbash again to recover the original message.
  • Use Load example to see common Atbash fragments such as GSV for THE.

Options and settings

  • Preserve case keeps uppercase and lowercase styling.
  • Keep punctuation and numbers leaves unsupported characters unchanged.
  • Remove whitespace can create compact puzzle-style output.
  • Group letters formats the mirrored text into fixed-size blocks.

Notes

  • Atbash has no secret key, so anyone who recognises the pattern can reverse it.
  • It is best used for learning, demonstrations, and simple puzzles.
